Every time.
Prism captures your system audio and detects the musical key live — chroma analysis run straight onto the Camelot wheel. DJ mode lays out your harmonic mixes; Producer mode hands back the chords, scales and progressions that actually fit.
- Live key & Camelot read-out
- DJ + Producer modes
- Harmonic "mix next" suggestions
- Optional AI directions

Your music,
wearing glass.
Halo floats a see-through widget of whatever's playing — Spotify, Apple Music, a browser tab, a podcast. The backdrop is a living mesh gradient pulled straight from the album art. Hit minimize and it shrinks to just the cover.
- Universal now-playing
- Mesh backdrop from album colours
- Compact cover-only mode
- Ambient mode — fades when idle, returns on media keys
- Simple mode — floating title & artist, no background
- Lives in your menu bar + Dock

Your library,
in tune.
Needlebox reads the key, BPM and energy of every track with Essentia, auto-sorts your library into harmonic folders, and lays out set running orders along a build → peak → cool arc. Search by vibe, mix on the Camelot wheel, export to .m3u8.
- Accurate key + BPM (Essentia)
- Camelot wheel + harmonic matches
- Set Builder with an energy curve
- AI tags, insights & vibe search

I'm Arjun Kalbag, a Computer Engineering and Economics student from New York City at Washington University in St. Louis with a strong interest in technology, design, and creative tools. Through AK Labs, I design and develop native macOS applications, primarily focused on music and the people who make it. Projects like Prism and Halo began as solutions to problems I encountered myself and evolved through iterative development into polished products. My experience spans software engineering, product development, and user-centered design, allowing me to build tools that combine technical functionality with intuitive user experiences.
